Along the Old Racetrack

The Country Club of Salisbury was first thought of in 1919 with six tomato cans used as cups on a six-hole golf course along the old racetrack and fairgrounds off Brenner Avenue. That started golf bug in Salisbury. In 1920 the Country Club of Salisbury became a reality and today is one of the lone private country clubs around.

Country Club of Salisbury members enjoy a beautiful tennis facility for any level of play. With six immaculately maintained courts, three clay, and three hard courts, all lit for cooler night play. Salisbury members of all ages and capabilities are exceptionally well-positioned to elevate and enjoy their tennis games. The Tennis facility contains viewing decks, bleachers, a gazebo and a state of the art ball machine for member use. The Pro Shop is stocked with racquets, other tennis equipment, and also offers racquet stringing and re-gripping.

The Country Club of Salisbury features one of the areas best test of golf. Originally designed and laid out by Donald Ross, players of all levels enjoy this timeless classic. Members and their guest have five sets of tee to choose from depending on their skill level.

The Course ranges from 6723 yards down to 4961 yards. The golf course is both strategic and challenging but yet fun for the novice player.Along with the Golf Course, the Country Club of Salisbury features an outstanding practice facilities. The practice facilities include a two-tiered driving range tee, with an optional 18 station Turf Hound tee line. The Bent Grass practice putting green and custom built short game area is available to perfect all short game shots. The Golf Shop features all of the latest in Golf and Casual wear.

Country Club of Salisbury is the place to satisfy all of your dining, banquet, or meeting needs. For daily dining, there is the Grill Room, located on the lower level of the Club House. The Grill Room is open Tue-Sun for lunch and Wed-Sat for dinner. The Main Dining Room is on the Main floor of the Clubhouse and is open for dinner Friday and Saturday. The Ballroom, Centennial Room, and Private Dining Room are all spaces available for meetings, events or weddings, there is a space that will fit the need. The Country Club of Salisbury can host events as large as 300 people down to an intimate dinner for two.
